Velvet Snuggles – One-Year Health Guarantee

At Velvet Snuggles, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of every puppy we raise. To ensure peace of mind for our new puppy families, we offer a one-year health guarantee against certain serious infectious diseases and life-threatening congenital conditions.

Covered Conditions Under This Guarantee:

Infectious Diseases (within the first year):

  1. Parvovirus (Canine Parvoviral Enteritis)

  2. Coronavirus

  3. Canine Distemper Virus

Serious Congenital Defects:

  1. Life-threatening organ disorders

  2. Congenital heart valve defects

  3. Fatal genetic conditions related to heart or major organ systems

If a puppy passes away due to a covered congenital condition or infectious disease, the following documentation must be provided:

  • A detailed medical certificate from a licensed veterinarian, clearly stating the cause of death.

  • Certified veterinary bills supporting the diagnosis and treatment.

  • Unaltered, original photographs of the puppy.

  • A copy of all medical records, including initial veterinary exams.

  • The final diagnosis must clearly specify the disease (especially in cases of suspected lung or heart issues).

These documents must be submitted within 72 hours of diagnosis or death for the claim to be eligible for review. Claims submitted after this window will not be accepted.

Upon receiving and reviewing the documentation, our affiliated veterinary team will evaluate the claim. If approved, a replacement puppy of similar quality, breed, and sex will be offered (based on availability).

Please note: All transportation costs for the replacement puppy are the responsibility of the buyer.

Conditions NOT Covered Under This Guarantee:

We do not provide compensation or replacement for the following treatable or common conditions:

  • Open fontanel

  • Patellar luxation

  • Hernias (umbilical or inguinal)

  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

  • Non-life-threatening skin issues (e.g., mild dermatitis, allergies)

These conditions are relatively common in small breeds and can typically be managed or treated with routine veterinary care.
