Health Guarantee & Terms of Sale

At Velvet Snuggles, we take great pride in raising healthy, well-socialized Yorkie puppies in a loving home environment. We are committed to providing each puppy with the highest level of care prior to adoption.

Health at Time of Sale
The seller guarantees that the puppy described above is in good health at the time the buyer assumes ownership. Each puppy is raised in a clean, nurturing environment and receives regular care, including preventive treatment for common parasites such as worms, fleas, ear mites, and coccidia.

While we make every effort to prevent health issues, it is important to understand that parasites such as worms, ticks, fleas, coccidia, giardia, mange, parvovirus, and other fecal-related conditions are common in puppies. Therefore, no guarantee—expressed or implied—will be given against these conditions.

Breeding Policy (For Breeders Only)
If this puppy is being purchased for breeding purposes, it should not be bred before 18 to 24 months of age. We do not offer any guarantees regarding breeding performance or success.

Veterinary Exam Requirement
To protect the health and wellbeing of both the puppy and buyer, the buyer is required to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of receiving the puppy (excluding weekends and holidays).

  • If the veterinarian determines the puppy to be in unacceptable health, the buyer must return the puppy within 24 hours of the exam.

  • A written statement from the examining veterinarian must be provided at the time of return.

  • If a replacement puppy is available, one of similar sex, size, and color will be offered.

  • Velvet Snuggles is not responsible for any veterinary fees, medication, or treatments incurred after the purchase.

In the Event of Death
If the puppy passes away within the first 10 days after purchase, an autopsy performed by a licensed veterinarian will be required at the buyer’s expense.

  • Upon confirmation of a genetic defect, and once all official veterinary documentation has been reviewed, a replacement puppy will be provided when available.

  • If no autopsy is performed or results are not submitted, no replacement puppy will be issued and the agreement will be considered void.

Deposit & Reservation Terms
A refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. This deposit secures your spot until the puppy is ready to go home. If, for any reason, the reserved puppy becomes unavailable while in our care, a full refund will be issued, or you may choose to apply the deposit toward another available puppy or a future litter.

Please note:

  • Once a puppy is ready for pick-up, buyers are given 10 days’ notice.

  • If the puppy is not picked up within this timeframe, the puppy will be placed back up for adoption, and the deposit may be forfeited unless prior arrangements are made.

Important:
Before making any deposit or payment, please request and review our full Purchase Agreement. This document outlines your rights, responsibilities, and the terms of sale in detail.
